NewsDue to Covid-19, Schools in Utah were not able to collect end of year summative assessment data for most end of year tests for the 2019-2020 school year. However, Provo Peaks was able to collect data for its English Learner population. English learner (EL) Progress is a measure of students who are learning English. This indicator demonstrates students’ progress toward becoming proficient in the English language. The WIDA ACCESS assessment is given to all English Learners in Utah annually, and measures the progress EL students make each year in listening, reading, speaking, and writing in English.
Provo Peaks is proud to announce that its ELL students outperformed both the district and state on adequate progress progression and students reaching proficiency.
