Last week, our sixth graders had the opportunity to hear from an MTECH representative who came to our school to talk about some amazing career opportunities that students can look at starting in high school. Some of these careers included cosmetology, auto mechanics, nursing, welding, and culinary school. Student were able to hear about the different programs and even practice some of the skills required for these jobs. Two lucky students even helped give the MTECH representative a shot in the arm! Students also had a lot of fun trying on the clothes that each different profession wears just to give them an idea of what it would be like to have that job. We are grateful that MTECH came and gave our students exposure to different career paths so that they can start thinking of what jobs they would like to do after school.

La semana pasada, nuestros alumnos de sexto grado tuvieron la oportunidad de escuchar a un representante de MTECH que vino a nuestra escuela para hablar de algunas increíbles oportunidades de carrera que los estudiantes pueden mirar a partir de la escuela secundaria. Algunas de estas carreras incluyeron cosmetología, mecánica automotriz, enfermería, soldadura y escuela culinaria. Los estudiantes pudieron escuchar sobre los diferentes programas e incluso practicar algunas de las habilidades requeridas para estos trabajos. ¡Dos afortunados estudiantes incluso ayudaron a dar al representante de MTECH una inyección en el brazo! Los estudiantes también se divirtieron mucho probándose la ropa que lleva cada una de las diferentes profesiones para que se hagan una idea de cómo sería tener ese trabajo. Estamos agradecidos de que MTECH haya venido y haya dado a nuestros estudiantes la oportunidad de conocer diferentes carreras para que puedan empezar a pensar en qué trabajos les gustaría hacer después de la escuela.
